Guitarist Mattias Windemo was born in Sandviken in the north of Sweden in 1970.
At the age of fifteen he became a student at the prestigious swedish music school of Ingesund in Arvika.
Two years later he became one of the youngest ever students at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Since then he has been in great demand, established as a guitarist in variety musical contexts. Mattias and the guitar maker Jan Helg`e together created a special built twinneck guitar in 1990. This custom-made instrument is tuned in quarters with scalloped fingerboards allowing it to be played with one hand on each guitar neck, much in the way a keyboard is played.
The result is previously unheard of dimensions of music and unique possibilities of expression.
This makes Mattias internationally a "one-of-a-kind" guitarplayer who continually develops and explors his own music.
